Artist Statement:
"Abstract art refers to an image, illustration or painting that takes something - be it a person or an object - and then takes it to an extreme point.
My paintings tend to be chimerical. I paint in colors and geometric expressions that, on some level, could depict real objects in nature. They are represented in a way that wholly or partially neglects their true appearance and expresses it in a form of sometimes unrecognizable patterns of lines, colors and shapes. It is spontaneous...automatic and on a subconscious level. My art is not a translation of natural realities. It doesn't intend to create beauty through the calm reflection of harmonic forms. It is quite the opposite. It intends to reach a fresh look of the world by different means - a return to antediluvian or exotic styles, the world of dreams, the fantasies of the mentally ill mind, visions induced by drugs, death through the eyes of a murderer and the drives of the unconscious mind..."
